About Makoto

Makoto was born and raised in Limsa Lominsa to a family of average means. She excelled in her studies, but found herself drawn to the sea. She would often sneak onto her father’s fishing boats to aid in catching fish to provide for the family. She learned at a young age how to read the tides, how to cast a net, and how to identify different fish.As she grew older, she became quite the fisherwoman. She found joy sailing through Eorzea, reeling in all the fish she could carry back home. She kept her own journal of notes with her throughout her journeys, sketching the areas she fished in, as well as information on her catches. She loved to reminisce and flip through the pages on stormy or cold days, and planning out her next adventures for warmer weather.Nowadays, she is searching for the biggest fish she can find, wherever her heart takes her. She’s also promised to enjoy more of the local eateries and try to make some friends along the way, as most of her friends are just her father and her father’s shipmates. She loves adventures and discussing fishing, and has recently discovered a delicacy known as coffee. Bring her a cup of coffee, and discussions about fish and you’ll be her best friend.
